How Spout works
Spout is a memecoin launchpad. You mint a coin, pair it with almost anything on Solana, and let people buy it on a rising curve. When the curve fills, the coin blows into a locked 1% Orca pool. Fees spray in the asset you paired.
Step 1
Launch
Name it. Pick a pair. Split the 0.50% between you and holders. Blow is 85 SOL of value in that pair.
Step 2
Rise
Buys fill the curve. Every fill takes 1.5%.
Step 3
Blow
At 85 SOL of value, the completing fill locks a 1% Orca pool. Surplus burns.
Step 4
Lock
Trading continues on Orca. Our LP stays locked. No drip.
Pair with anything
SOL, USDC, listed stocks (xStocks), pre-IPO names, memes, or any mint you paste. Pairing is not backing. A TSLAx pair is not Tesla. A SpaceX pair is not a SpaceX share. There is no redemption.
Buyers can pay with a different asset. Spout hops that payment into the pair in one transaction, then fills. A hop takes 0.3%.
The rise — 1.5%
Every fill on the curve takes 1.5%, paid in the pair.
0.25%
Thicken
Extra pair asset, dumped into Orca at the blow. Once.
0.20%
Crew
Four seats, 0.05% each: Scout, Bull, Tide, Closer.
0.50%
Creator / holders
Your slider at launch. 100/0 to 0/100. Locked forever.
0.55%
Protocol
Spout’s cut on the curve. After the blow this becomes 0.17%.
Crew
The crew is earned on the tape. Scout and Closer need a real fill — at least 1% of supply. Dust does not count.
Scout
First buy of at least 1% of supply.
Dump the whole bag and the seat does not pass. That 0.05% pays protocol from then on.
Bull
Largest bag, live.
Whoever holds the most tokens right now. It can change on every fill.
Tide
Most volume in the last 24 hours, live.
Buys and sells both count. The seat follows the tape.
Closer
Last 1%+ fill before the blow.
If the last print is smaller, we walk back to the previous qualifying fill. If nobody ever bought 1%, this hat pays protocol.
The blow
Every launch blows at the same line Pump.fun uses: 85 SOL of value raised in the pair, converted into that asset. SOL, USDC, a stock, a meme, or a pasted mint — the SOL target does not change, and you cannot pick a different one.
That 85 SOL is quote sitting in the curve, not market cap. Market cap at the blow is larger because it is price × the whole supply. The raised quote plus leftover tokens seed a 1% Orca pool. The position is locked on Spout. Unsold surplus is burned. Holder bags are not.
After the blow — 1% on Orca
Traders pay the 1% Orca pool fee. Orca keeps their cut (~0.13%). Spout takes the rest (~0.87%) and splits 0.20% crew / 0.50% creator-holders / 0.17% protocol.
No drip after the blow. Anyone can add extra liquidity on Orca. Our lock is the floor.
Hop vs spray
Two different things, easy to mix up.
Hop is the swap. You want to buy a coin paired with USDC, but you’re holding SOL. Spout changes your SOL into USDC in the same transaction, then buys. That change costs 0.3%. If you already hold the pair, there is no hop.
Spray is the rain. At launch the creator splits a 0.50% slice between themselves and holders. The holder slice airdrops in the pair when it’s big enough to cover dust, rent, and gas. There is no collect button. Spray is not a swap fee. If you have pending spray, it shows in Portfolio.
Wallets
Spout never asks for a seed phrase. If something does, it is not us.
